Roanoke, VA– HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home emergency repair solutions, today announced the launch of its partnership with Western Virginia Water Authority (WVWA) to offer optional service plans for exterior water and sewer lines and in-home plumbing. Plans offered through HomeServe will be available to the 52,000 households served by the utility, providing homeowners with coverage that protects them from the costs and inconveniences associated with emergency repairs to the water and sewer lines connecting their home to WVWA’s system.
“Like the infrastructure the WVWA maintains, many homes in our service area have water or sewer lines that have outlived their normal life expectancy and are increasingly susceptible to failure. If an emergency repair is needed on the customer’s side of the line, the break is disruptive and the repair is expensive,” said Gary Robertson, Executive Director, Water Services, WVWA. “We are working with HomeServe to offer our customers affordable options that cover water and sewer line repairs and protect them from the unexpected expense that are associated with such home repairs.”
Education and A Homeowner’s Line of Defense
One of the program benefits is educating homeowners on water and sewer line responsibilities from the home to WVWA’s water and sewer connection points. Homeowners often don’t realize that repairs to these pipes are not covered by WVWA or by basic homeowners insurance, so they find themselves unexpectedly having to deal with the challenge of emergency repairs on their own. Furthermore, they can be blindsided by the costs associated with such repairs. HomeServe’s coverage plans serve as a line of defense, ensuring that in the event of a repair emergency, the burden on homeowners is minimized or eliminated, and the repair process, handled through HomeServe, is timely, efficient and high-quality.
“Our service plans connect WVWA customers with the best contractors their community has to offer, to ensure they receive quality services. The coverage we offer goes beyond covering costs – we provide assistance from start to finish” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA. “We look forward to our partnership with WVWA and are pleased to extend the homeowners they serve some peace of mind when it comes to dealing with a service line or other repair emergency.”
Accessible, Reliable, 24/7
HomeServe plan holders have access to a Repair Hotline that is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as well as local, licensed, and insured contractors to provide high-quality home repair services in a timely manner. The Exterior Water Service Line Coverage will be available for $4.99 per month, the Exterior Sewer/Septic Line Coverage is available for $6.99 per month and a plan for in-home plumbing, the Interior Plumbing and Drainage Coverage, will also be available for $10.99 per month. Residents that enroll in the optional plan will have convenient payment options available directly through HomeServe.
WVWA homeowner customers will receive additional details about the optional service plans in the mail. Homeowners can also visit http://www.HomeServeUSA.com/WVWA or call 1-844-849-3621 for more information.
