7 Thoughtful Gifts Your Mom Will Absolutely Love
Friendly reminder: Mother's Day is Sunday, May 12th. Which means now is the time for me to find the perfect gift for the woman who gave me life. (And outshine the gift-giving efforts of my 4 siblings.) While I usually start thinking about what Mom may want a few weeks in advance, I inevitably end up scrambling last minute to produce a gift. (Thank god for Amazon Prime.)
This year, I'm getting a jump on it - and you can too. Check out these thoughtful Mother's Day gift ideas – perfect for the mom (or moms) in your life:
1. Wall art made just for her
She has a picture-perfect family (including her favorite daughter), so treat her to some personalized wall art featuring her favorite smiling faces. Alternatively, you can frame pieces of art created by the kids or grandkids. They're probably worth more to her than any Picasso.
2. A subscription that keeps giving
Subscription boxes with curated collections sent straight to her front door are sure to be a fave. With so many to choose from (i.e. food, wine, crafts, cosmetics, gardening supplies) - you name it and there's a box filled with goodies. Chances are there is one perfectly-suited to your mom’s tastes and hobbies. And best of all, she'll think of you every time it shows up.
3. The tickets to her heart
Score tickets to a musical, play, exhibition, concert or event. If you're feeling especially generous, considering booking a weekend getaway for the two of you to spend some quality time together at her favorite spa or other travel destination.

4. For her home
If she's one who enjoys the latest technology, set her up with some new smart home devices. Alternatively, help her make the home improvements that have been on her to-do list for ages. (You can be her “fixer upper” handyman for the day.)
5. Give her an “ahhh” spa day
Set Mom up for a day of true relaxation. We're talking candles, bath bombs, face masks and maybe even a bottle of wine. Look for Mother's Day gift baskets filled with spa-day treats. Of course, another option is booking an afternoon at a luxurious spa for a professional facial, massage, mani-pedi experience.
6. Brunch on you
She'll love indulging in a Mother's Day brunch - especially if you take the time to make it yourself. If you're not top chef in the kitchen, don't forget to book reservations so you can secure the best table – as Mother’s Day celebrations can cause a long wait if you don’t plan ahead.
7. A handmade touch
The beauty of planning your gift ahead of time is that you have time for some do-it-yourself magic. Get inspired and check out these easy Mother's Day crafts that double as unforgettable gifts from Country Living.
While you're in the gifting spirit, consider giving yourself some peace of mind with a home warranty plan. (Mom will also be over the moon that you're making such responsible decisions.)
