All these parts can get clogged and break as they age and it's your responsibility to fix these problems. Plus, most pipes and drains sit behind your walls, making it more difficult to know when something will go wrong. With a repair plan, you can get protection from time-consuming and expensive repairs. Interior Plumbing and Drainage System Coverage includes the repair or replacement of a leaking or blocked interior plumbing and drainage system damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence, including leaking water pipes, broken water valve causing unstoppable water flow, and the unblocking of an overflowing toilet or sink due to clogged drain up to the service call amount.

Does my homeowners insurance or local utility cover repairs to the systems in my home?
Many homeowners believe their utility companies or homeowners insurance is responsible for emergency repairs to the water, sewer, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems, but the reality is that in many cases you, the homeowner, is responsible. Most basic homeowners insurance policies and local utility companies or municipalities do not cover repairs to or replacement of the major systems in and around your home.
